hi everyone in this month I'm EXTREMELY actively worked on lampy so let me share with you with results of, probably, my most busy month of working on game (hidding some stuff to keep interest)
- game is now EXTREMELY optimized, even through I haven't tried on my little old weak laptop, but now you can zoom out camera like on first picture and it will work with 60 fps, and before you could see only this little part where's a lot of tiles where barely 30 fps!!
- there's now a minimap! (it's usefull, since I won't let you zoom out camera this much lol)
- most of the tiles have sorta-light with dots
- added really handy thing to relatively easily use same text with different language! (write me if you know any language besides russian, english or spanish)
- now game is with 16:10 aspect ratio, since I have display with 16:10 aspect ratio and I made a lot of assets to this aspect ratio, and I forgot that usually used 16:9 and scale it all to different aspects it's pain so now you will be seeing cool tiles on backgrounds that changes depending on location
- worked a lot on ui, reworked a lot of stuff
- added pins(achivements)!
- added base for quest system, that includes such classics of game design as "come-bring" and "come-talk", but I hope that I could think of something better..
- btw things that you have found you can now see in your journal!
- added bigger random decorations on level (still looks kinda empty, but I think I just need to make smaller level..)
- added new item, that's really fun to use and really fun to mess around with, even with gamepad
- added one small tiny secret location that I won't show but trust me it's really neat
- polished a lot of stuff, but there's still work to do
... and still it's feels like I haven't done much. In next month I'll polish a bit more and then actually will start working on level and dialogs honest thit time
